Reflexology

Reflexology uses acupressure points on the feet, hands and ears to assist in full body healing.

Reflexology dates back thousands of years, with evidence of the practice found in ancient China, India, and Egypt. The modern practice of reflexology was developed in the early 20th century by Eunice Ingham, a physiotherapist and nurse who mapped out the reflex points on the feet and hands and developed a system for applying pressure to them.

In 1997, Tamara was first exposed to the wonders of Reflexology which she studied with Merle Sunday while in skin care school. This would inspire her to take on a career in massage therapy. In massage school she studied Reflexology as an elective one semester and choose to be a teacher aid for a second semester. Understanding the interconnection of the body is one of the many reasons being a bodyworker continues to inspire Tamara after twenty years.
